On the Edge of Calamity

Another image inspired by the epic journey of once upon my life...

In this image, the central figure seems so small in light of the calamities besetting him. Each and every day that he leaves the shelter of his home he must pick a direction... pick a side. The choice is always his, as are the calamities, they are merely a product of his own hand. One way leads to change... however daunting that may be. The other leads to stagnation... or worse. Always between them... always on the edge of whatever circumstance they have to offer...
